I was going to post some more pictures of things I have made during my absence, but then I found something else. My lovely children evidently love to take pictures of themselves. I didn't know these existed. So here to make you smile are my lovely girls.
Scary huh? Word of advice....never set your phone down!

Wow! It's been a long time!
Hi everyone! It has been a very long time since I posted last! So much is going on. The best part is that I am now teaching prenatal yoga! I have taken yoga for a few years now from my wonderful friend Lauren, and she talked me into teaching prenatal yoga. It has been wonderful. I get to meet so many wonderful pregnant women. We always have fun in class. I am still teaching childbirth education classes at Lisa Ross Birth and Women's Center. So life is busy!
I have been doing a lot of sewing too. Here are some pictures of what I've done recently.
Love this blanket! Very simple to make, Minky on the back and flannel on the front. Just cut to the size you want, sew together with wrong sides together. Leave a small opening to turn right side out. Then topstitch around the edge, closing the opening when you get there. See...easy peasy!
A dear friend of mine had a baby in Feb, so of course I had to make this car seat cover for her.
There are tons of car seat canopy tutorials out there for these. Here is one that is fairly simple but adorable.
I also made her a quilt for the new baby.
Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest. Photography is not my talent. However, my 11 yr old daughter seems to have "the touch" when it comes to pictures. I may post some of her pictures later.
This quilt pattern came from here.
And the backing is chenille! So soft and cuddly. I was afraid quilting would mess up the back, so I just tacked it together by hand here and there. I would use contrasting thread and outline a design in one of the circles. So it will stay together, but I didn't distroy the beautiful chenille.
I'm going to leave off here. There are a ton more things to include, but I have three laundry baskets of clothes just waitin for me to put them away. I will put up some more things in the next few days!

The Pinwheel Quilt
I finished this quilt top months ago! It has taken me this long to find the right backing for it and get it quilted. Please tell me I am not the only one the quilt tops just waiting to be quilted!
I searched and searched for the right fabric for the backing and couldn't find anything that felt right. You know what I mean? You see that bolt of fabric and you know it was meant to be on your quilt! So one day I was looking for orange and white checkered fabric (go Vols!) to make a pillowcase dress for a friend's baby. None of the usual stores carried it. So I started looking for other fabric shops in town that I may not know about. I found one! I thought it was just sewing machines, but they also have an amazing selection of fabric, including orange and white checkered fabric!
While I was walking arounddrooling looking at fabric I found bolts of Sugar Pop by Moda! I used a charm pack of Sugar Pop to make this quilt, plus some extra fabrics. This new store I love is All About Sewing. They were so nice and helpful. Plus lots of Moda fabric! Bolts, charm packs, jelly rolls.....sigh!
See! Isn't it pretty!!! I love the backing fabric so much, I think you could use it as a reversable quilt. What do you think?
I quilted it in a wonky wave pattern. I call it wonky because not every wavy line is the same. See, you probably thought I meant to make it wonky!
This is the first time I quilted something that wasn't in straight lines. Very scary! But it didn't turn out too bad. Just a little wonky! I just listed this in my Etsy shop. Let me know what you think.

The Wave Quilt
I love the quilts from http://www.ohfransson.com/. She has some great patterns! I fell in love with this one and had to make it. So here it is!
This quilt is a little bigger than I intended. It's 38" x 53", so it may be a little big for a crib quilt, but would work great on a toddler bed.
This quilt is posted in my Etsy shop. If you like it, it can be yours!

I decided to quilt only on the white sashing, and I think it turned out ok. I love the fabrics so much, I didn't want to take away from them.

Finally finished the quilt top!
I found enough time to get this quilt top finished!
Then for the binding maybe something in light blue? Or maybe teal? I really need some help!
I love all the different colors! I wish I could take credit for be creative, but I just used two fat quarter bundles that matched.
Look at these birdies! Aren't they adorable!
I will head out next week and buy fabric for the backing and binding so this will all be finished. Then I will get it listed on my Etsy shop.
Now I have to decide what to use as the backing. I am thinking of using something in green. What do you think? I am afraid brown would be too dark. Hmmm....not sure.

Just delivered an order of bibs!
I love when people ask me to make things for them! I had a sweet lady ask me to make up some bibs for her and she brought me the fabric.
They turned out pretty good. I love the flowers.
These are some of my favorites. I hope I can get some pictures of her sweet boy wearing one of these!
